It was a true honor to join the Fairfield Conservation Commission and community members in dedicating a new Open Space trail at Perry’s Mill Ponds in honor of Joy Shaw, a remarkable conservationist whose decades of work have preserved Fairfield’s rivers, forests, and open spaces for generations to enjoy. Her vision and passion for environmental stewardship continue to inspire young people to learn from and protect our natural world.
