Saturday, Aug. 26 Back to School Food Drive: Donations Welcome!
FAIRFIELD – On Saturday, Aug. 26, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, a Back to School Food Drive will be held on Sherman Town Green at 1451 Post Road.
“We are focused on addressing food insecurity,” said Sen. Tony Hwang, who is hosting the event with Operation Hope. “This is a community-wide effort to help our neighbors in need. Please mark your calendars, come to the Sherman Town Green, and donate what you can!”
Most needed items include:
Chili & Stew, Canned Fruit, Canned Chicken & Spam, Olives, Mushrooms, & Artichokes, Mayonnaise & Other Condiments, Cookies & Crackers, Nuts & Dried Fruit, Jelly & Honey, White Rice, Cleaning Products, Toilet paper & Paper Towels, and Deodorant.
