Sen. Tony Hwang issued the following statement regarding the passing of Reverend Charles Allen:
“It is with profound sadness that I express my deepest sympathies in the passing of Reverend Charles Allen. Rev. Allen was a remarkable gift to our community for over 40 years. He was an exemplary model of faith, kindness, and generosity. He embodied the Jesuit principles of charity and philanthropy for others. I will always fondly remember and treasure his indomitable talent of practical storytelling, which made his message resonate with all who were lucky enough to hear him speak. He will be missed by many in the Greater Bridgeport and Fairfield communities and God bless him.”
