Former CT Governor M. Jodi Rell Endorses Tony Hwang for State Senate

Former Gov. M. Jodi Rell, the 87th Governor of Connecticut and the second woman to hold the position in the state’s history, is endorsing State Sen. Tony Hwang in his re-election bid.
“Tony’s commitment to the people in the communities he represents is unmatched,” Rell said.  “He is passionate about passing policies which improve the quality of life for everyone. Tony is a true public servant who listens to taxpayers and cares deeply about our state’s future. I think he’s one of the best state lawmakers in Connecticut.”
Rell served as Connecticut’s Governor from 2004 to 2010.  She was Governor during Sen. Hwang’s first term as a state representative.
“I have tremendous respect and admiration for Gov. Rell,” Sen. Hwang said. “She demonstrated true leadership and compassionate caring when our state needed it most. I am honored and grateful to have Gov. Rell’s continued support, and I will continue to work tirelessly on behalf of the people of Easton, Fairfield, Newtown, Weston and Westport.”
