State Senator Tony Hwang is proud to announce his endorsement by the Connecticut Association of Retired Teachers (ARTC). Always a strong advocate in matters of education, Senator Hwang’s commitment to protecting the benefits earned by Connecticut’s teachers is steadfast. His candidacy was endorsed by ARTC PAC.
From the ARTC website, “ARTC PAC, though a part of ARTC, must remain separate from ARTC. This committee endorses candidates on the state level, raises and spends money in support of our candidates.”
“Thank you to Connecticut’s retired teachers for endorsing my candidacy again for state senate. We need to keep the promises we made to our teachers, and ensure that they are able to retire in comfort and dignity after a life of service in educating our young people. Their dedication to our children is truly admirable, and the legislature needs to continue to honor the commitments we made to them. I am excited to continue working with ARTC to protect the rights of retirees in our state. Thank you very much for your continued support.”
In their endorsement letter Bradley Hayward, Co-chair ARTC PAC remarked, “We feel that your positions on adequately funding our health insurance and pension accounts align with our positions. We hope that your campaign is successful and we look forward working with you after the election.”
Senator Hwang represents Connecticut’s 28th Senate district, which includes the towns of Fairfield, Weston, Weston, Westport, Newtown & Sandy Hook. He sits as Co-chair of the Housing Committee, and Vice-Chair or the Aging and Energy & Technology Committees.
