Sen. Hwang Applauds Key Funding Approval for The Center for Family Justice

Fairfield’s Senator Tony Hwang (R-28th District) applauded the State Bond Commission’s approval of a $1.2 million grant-in-aid to make renovations and improvements to The Center for Family Justice (CFJ). CFJ, provides services that strives to end domestic and sexual abuse and violence in our communities by empowering hope, restoring lives and driving social change through education and community collaboration.
“Wonderful and welcome news to support and empower those impacted by domestic violence and abuse,” said Sen. Hwang. “For the past 15 years, I have witnessed the positive impact that the Center makes on survivors and their extended family members. Unfortunately, we continue to see increased needs for domestic violence services and shelters in all communities. These funds will provide much-needed physical improvements that will enable CFJ to safely and securely continue to help individuals and families in crisis for many years to come, and I applaud the CT Bonding Commission for recognizing the value of this investment.”
