Sen. Hwang thanks departing Health Care Advocate for service to CT

For Immediate Release

Sen. Tony Hwang, Ranking Senator on the legislature’s Insurance and Real Estate Committee, today issued the following statement regarding Healthcare Advocate for the State of Connecticut Ted Doolittle’s resignation.

“Ted’s expertise on behalf of Connecticut healthcare consumers battling unfair and unjust health insurance decisions affecting their well-being has been greatly valued by myself and by lawmakers on both sides of the aisle. His work with us on the Insurance Committee in reducing healthcare costs while maintaining the high standard of patient care has been much appreciated.  Congratulations to Ted on his new role as immigration judge – he has a thoughtful and measured temperament, and he values social equity and justice for all. He will be an asset to the court.  We thank him for his service to our state and we wish him well.”
